The best candidate will be extremely passionate about building & harnessing meaningful relationships with customers and members of the portfolio community and is passionate about growing our brands and their respective communities through social media, PR, influencer relationships, and direct customer communication. You will have a challenger mindset, finding creative ways to grow our brand’s share of voice & organic reach in line with our values, positioning and objectives, while being equally creative in defining ways to measure impact. You will ensure that equity and a people-first lens is at the forefront of this program. We are looking for a Director of Community Engagement to create, manage and oversee the strategy, results, and eventually, grow and manage a team of individuals focused on community, social media, PR, and influencer relationships. This role is truly 50% analytical and 50% creative. Our ideal candidate is a brand storyteller, culture maven, and community builder – while also being laser-focused on customer acquisition, comfortable with analysis and digging deep into data, and excited to find different growth levers to scale our communities efficiently. You will start out managing organic / social communities and customer relationships for Venture Noire, Infinite Looks and Supply Factory Brands, and as we grow, you will be expected to lead strategy for the skin health and CBD portfolio as well. This role reports into the CEO and Senior Brand Managers/General Managers.

Partner with the Business managers in developing marketing and communication plans that drive the business units (Sunday II Sunday, Venture Noire, and Supply Factory Brands). Create and lead effective communication activities across all customer facing channels – website, ads, social media, customer service, PR, and influencer relations.

Serve as the main cross-functional stakeholder for all things customer and community, communicating priorities, learnings, and opportunities to all departments.

Create and deliver engaging and effective communications for multiple channels, including companywide meetings, website, email, video, and print.

We believe the customer is everything to the business, and so should you. You are not above rolling up your sleeves up and responding to DMs, comments and customer service inquires with the mindset that you will initially be on the frontlines of customer communication to understand the needs of the community before building plans to grow it. Partner with PR team to create and identify opportunities for increasing organic reach and visibility while tracking press releases and relevant KPIs to understand ROI. Foster relationships with existing customers by spearheading communication and lifecycle strategy for CRM and email initiatives.

Support creative production and planning with our internal and external brand and design teams by providing a constant feedback loop on customer feedback and collaborating on new ideas to iterate and test messaging.

Establish the foundations of a best-in-class influencer marketing program, inclusive of:
Establish goals for maximizing our brand reach & growing share of voice across platforms, balancing this against the quality of content and impact on the customerWork with internal partners & external vendors to effectively implement relationship management tools & process.

Conduct surveys & research to gather Consumer Insights, to understand current gaps & opportunities for improvement.

Audit existing influencer marketing initiatives and update to bring it in line with future-state objectives.

Establish an equitable program structure that is line with our values, inclusive of incentive structure, identification & eligibility parameters, and relationship management & communication norms.

Establish a measurement & reporting structure to evaluate influencer impact on at least a monthly basis, across both brand metrics (i.e. organic reach) and sales (i.e. attributed orders, product uplift)

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism, PR, English, Humanities, Sociology, Psychology, Communications, or related field. MBA/Masters strongly encouraged.

5+ years of marketing and/or communications experience, social media and influencer management, and/or PR management including direct experience working with a variety of media, such as print, broadcast, digital

A highly analytical and data-driven mindset; you have strong knowledge of data tools, including Excel, and are able to leverage data and research to drive decisions.

Strong, extensive and relevant relationships with top tier media, tastemakers, influencers - and the ability to leverage for earned results.An incredible grasp of narrative, awareness of audiences, exceptional attention to detail, forward thinking team player who works collaboratively on a team.

Expert skills in communications, media relations, writing, message development and reputation management with strong verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills (outreach plans, general proofreading, pitch development, media materials, strategy documents, decks).

Passionate about creating best-in-class experiences for both influencer partners & our customers Exceptional relationship management skills, with an ability to build relationships and desire to communicate directly to customers across all CRM/Social Platforms.

Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations and across organizational boundaries, building cross-functional relationships and advocating for brand outcomes.

Passionate self-starter, decisive and able to move with speed to implement ideas.

Obsession with creating world class experiences Willingness to challenge the status quoProficiency in all digital social media platforms a must, i.e. Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Snapchat, Twitter, TikTok etc.

Experience with D2C and consumer brands in the health and beauty space is a huge bonus.
